Child and Adolescent Fellowship Program

Citrus Health Network is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) as the sponsoring institution for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship program. In partnership with the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, the Citrus Health Network Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship strives to create a stimulating learning environment that produces well-trained and well-rounded physicians that provide competent, compassionate, comprehensive, and culturally sensitive care to children, adolescents, and families.

The Child-Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship is a two-year, ACGME-approved fellowship program with four fellowship positions per training year.  The fellowship program is only one of two ACGME accredited fellowship programs in South Florida. Based in a Federally Qualified Health Center, the fellowship program provides rigorous community based training with patients of diverse cultural, ethnic backgrounds, and socioeconomic statuses with a wide variety of psychiatric disorders. Training will occur in various programs within the Citrus Health Network, and at the nationally recognized Nicklaus Children’s Health System.
