As a provider of mental and behavioral health services for children, youth, and young adults in South Florida for more than 38 years, Citrus Health Network understands the importance of children’s mental health. On Thursday, May 10th, Citrus joins more than 1,000 communities nationwide in celebrating the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day. This year’s focus is on the importance of an integrated approach to caring for the mental health needs of children, youth, and young adults who have experienced trauma, as well as their families.
To celebrate National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day locally, Citrus is proud to sponsor the Florida Association of Infant Mental Health’s (FAIMH) Official DC: 0-5 Training facilitated by national trainers from Zero to Three. The training is taking place on May 9th and 10th at Florida International University. For more information about the training, or other FAIMH events, visit: www.FAIMH.org/events
