Therapeutic Foster Homes: Children live with foster families who have been specially trained to care for children with certain behavioral or emotional needs. Therapeutic Foster homes generally require more training for foster parents, and provide more support for children and care givers. (Maximum of 2 children per home)
Family-Based Group Foster Homes: Children ages 12 and up with behavioral or emotional needs that require the structure and services of a group setting are placed in family-based group foster homes with 24-hour supervision from a foster parent. (Maximum of 5 children per home)
