School-Based Health Programs

 A  partnership  between  Citrus Health Network, The  Children’s Trust, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, the Miami-Dade County Health Department allows Citrus School Health Teams to provide basic health services to students in  Miami-Dade  County  Public  Schools.  Those  services  include  first  aid,  health  education, grade and age appropriate screenings, medication administration, behavioral and psychosocial assessments, counseling, and referrals to primary and behavioral health services.

The Healthy Me Program helps to build and reinforce resiliency skills for substance abuse prevention and mental health promotion in children kindergarten through fourth grade. The program also includes a bully prevention curriculum.
