As a crucial provider of emergency mental health services in Miami-Dade County, and one of only two Adult Crisis Stabilization Units in the northern part of the county, Citrus is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to receive individuals in crisis, or in need of emergency assessment services. The unit, which is a Baker Act receiving facility, provides short, intensive services with the goal of examining and stabilizing the client, and directing them to the best setting for their needs.
