Children's Community Teams

For children and adolescents with mental illness in need of services that are more intensive than a traditional outpatient setting, but outside of an inpatient setting, Citrus's Children's Community Teams offer in-home therapeutic and family support services. The children and adolescents served by the six Children's Community Teams are often at risk of out-of-home placement—such as a child welfare placement, a juvenile justice program or a residential treatment center—which are not the most appropriate or most successful treatment options. Multidisciplinary treatment teams of mental and behavioral health professionals work closely with the child and their family to assess the child’s needs and to develop and implement a recovery plan that focuses on stabilization, skill building, and continued participation in the community.
